Dear John....

So have you ever read a book, that you have long awaited for, only to find out it wasn't what you expected? This exact situation happened to me the other day. :(

I have always been a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks writing. His books find ways to grab and pull on my heart strings, some of my favorites are A Walk to Remember, A Bend in the Road, At First Sight, The Notebook, and the most recent one i have read, Dear John.

This is the book that i'm speaking of, Dear John, when this book came out i sooo badly wanted to read it, but it was only being sold in hardback and i didn't feel like paying almost $20 so i skipped over it until it became cheaper. Well i happened to be looking for a new book at wal-mart when i came across this book , and i was OMG! this is the book i really wanted to read... big plus it had hottie Channing Tatum on the cover so i bought it, and went straight home to watch the trailer. wow. it looked amazing, so i finished the book in 3 days. The only bad thing is the book TOTALLY did not turn out like how i would have expected. I wish i could have changed how it ended up, it just upset me knowing the movie will be the same way. :( But i still loved the book, as always Nicholas Sparks finds ways to make something sad, extrodinarly beautiful. Still a great book, worth reading, and i cannot wait to see the movie!!! :) i can still find things to smile about! lol

So what book have you read that you didn't expect something to happen, were upset with the ending, or just plain hated the book??
